Ricky was a designer of silver jewelry, and had experience in repairing jewelry. He was also interested in just about anything and everything. In his childhood, his father would take him to different pawn shops to browse around and look at all the exciting items. On a whim, he said, “We should open a pawn shop.” They opened the doors for the first time on December 15th 1979. Ricky soon fell in love with the unpredictability of the revolving exhibit of items that came through the door on a daily basis. Rick’s AV Pawnshop has been an expanding and evolving company from then on. One reason that Rick’s AV Pawn has been in business for over 40 years is because our main goal is to make and keep our customers happy.
We provide 4 month loans at very reasonable interest rates. The first 3 months of the loan period has a fixed one time rate. For example, on a $50.00 loan, our customers have 3 months to redeem their item for $62.00. Into the 4th month, the interest goes up from $12.00 to $18.00.
If you would rather sell your item, we can also purchase items for a bit more than we would loan.
